He was a gentle soul. You can see it in his eyes.

I agree, George was a gentle soul. I ran into him years later on the waterfront - still sweet and charming. He brought in a kitten in the 5th or 6th grade which I took home and kept until he passed away of old age. He is greatly missed.

Agree as well. Just a sweet nice kid. But he could also knock on your ass as I well know! I was so sad to hear about his passing, I think he was 45. There will always be a place in my heart for George.

George was a gentle giant, I have so many memories of George from 7th grade . We both had Mrs. McMahon, she was tough on George and always thought he was to rough on me. I really liked George and it did not bother me a bit, I had 3 older brothers and too rough did not mean anything to me. He always smelled like cigarettes, back then that was not such a bad thing, he liked to tease and make you laugh. We laughed a lot together. I am so sad to hear of his passing, my prayers to the Cantwell family.

He will be missed at our reunion.
