Kathy was always very sweet to me. She could tell I didn't have a lot of confidence then but she would be encouraging to me. I'll always remember that about her.

Katherine Eleanor Grogan, was one of my very best friends, I spent more nights at her house in 7 & 8 grade than I did at my own house. Both of our houses were so full of kids that I don't think our parents ever noticed us missing or an extra kid for dinner!

I loved the Grogan family, Mrs. Grogan was one of the sweetest, kindest, soft spoken women I have ever met. Kathy loved her mom and we spent many hours talking to her, Kathy could tell her mom EVERYTHING!

I miss Kathy, every trip to Portland, I drive by her house and show my kids. I often visit her grave and sit and pray. She helped make my grade school years more memorable. We had moved to Arizona the year she passed and it broke my heart to miss her funeral.

I miss my friend!

We established ourselves as "best friends" the summer after 8th grade graduation and remained best friends the next 4yrs until the end. She meant more to me than anyone in the entire world at that time and her death devastated me and left me shattered. It took me many years to come to terms with her death but now I am able to enjoy my memories of the two of us together always laughing, talking incessantly and getting into trouble. She was so silly and funny and passionate about life and always loved a good party!
You were the best, Grogan ! I love you to this day.
